Description: Very fast growing tree to about 50 ft. Has large purple leaves. Prune yearly to maintain dense form. The cultivar is 'Purple Tower' which originated as a random mutant in a Chinese forestry plot and was brought to the US via Germany by Jason Smith of the University of Florida.
