Description: Native to Argentina, candalabra eryngium is a very impressive plant, not just because of its size and candelabra-like (paniculate) inflorescence, but because it doesn't go dormant, even to 7F! In shade, it isn't quite so vigorous. These open-pollinated seeds were harvested from plants growing near a Mexican species of eryngium (also evergreen), so many seeds might be a hybrid of the two similar plants. Imagine that! Even though it is drought tolerant, this plant will require some watering until established.
